ASTEC at SWUG 2008 conference

On 27-29th May ASTEC representatives – Janusz Michalewicz, Dariusz Michura and Bartłomiej Łączkowski – participated in SWUG conference (SMALLWORLD™ User Group ) in Würzburg (Germany). During the conference we presented our services and Magik Development Tools suite for the Smallworld™ Magik developers. On 29th May Dariusz Michura had a presentation about "Magik Development Tools Professional Edition - The new possibilities in Smallworld™ Magik code developing". Presentation met with great interest of the conference participants and many of them visited our booth.

ASTEC as a member of Polish Business Chamber for Advanced Technologies

ASTEC took part in a founding assembly of the Polish Business Chamber for Advanced Technologies in the headquarters of BRE Bank in Warsaw on Friday, 1. February 2008. The Polish Business Chamber for Advanced Technologies does not have a commercial character. Its main objective is the creation of friendly legal and financial surrounding for the development of advanced technologies in Poland.

ASTEC at 2007 EMEA Software Conference 'Smallworld™ and the Smart Network'

In October ASTEC participated in Smallworld™ European Users Conference  - 2007 EMEA Software Conference 'Smallworld™ and the Smart Network' in Mallorca, where our services as well as MDT product were presented during a presentation and a workshop. Both events met with great interest of the conference participants and many of them visited our booth in order to find out more about MDT. Important meetings and business talks  took part among others with GE Energy representatives concerning a common strategy of MDT development.

Implementation of GDO in G.EN. S.A.

ASTEC Sp. z o.o. and GEOMAGIC GmbH with headquarter in Leipzig won tender for implementation of  Geographic Information System for polish distributor of gas G.EN. GAZ ENERGIA S.A..

Project contain implementation of Smallworld™ 4.0.1 (Global Distribution Office) products, but also connecting with already existing system and IT infrastructure. GDO is GE Energy product, which based on Smallworld™ Core Spatial technology enable inventarisation and actualization of gas distribution networks, investments and ensure actualization of database.

This is the first  implementation of GDO in Europe.
