NewsSmallworld User Group (SWUG) 2006Monday, 3 July 2006 From May 30th to June 1st 2006 ASTEC took part in the SWUGconference in Dresden. We presented our Smallworld-based services. During the conference we announced our latest product: Magik Development Tools for Smallworld GIS programmers. ASTEC Managing Director Janusz Michalewicz hold the lecture about ASTEC Magic Development Tools, which met great interest.
MDT — Magik Development ToolsMonday, 3 July 2006 ASTEC has published the official version of MDT. MDT is the first integrated development environment for Magik programmers. It was created basing on the Eclipse platform and has the features of modern IDEs such as: team work, repository management, context hints, syntax highlighting and many more. The execution of Smallworld environment images is also possible. Official project website: www.mdt-project.net. Partnering Days in BerlinSaturday, 13 May 2006 On 11-12th May Partnering Days took place at the Technical University in Berlin. The participants had a possibility to familiarise themselves with the assumptions of the 7th EU Framework Programme. We have also established contact with representatives of EU institutions and companies that are interested in participating in this Programme. Cooperation with University of Zielona GóraFriday, 12 May 2006 On 10th May we signed an agreement about cooperation in the area of R&D project and education with the authorities of the Universtity. Within this agreement we have arranged an informational meeting for the students of the Department of Informatics. We have introduced our services as well as offered a possibility to make a practical training or to apply for a job. This meeting aroused great interest among students. ![]() ASTEC at the TEICO-Net cooperation exchangeSunday, 30 April 2006 On 24th April 2006 in Breslau/Poland the 6th TEICO-Net cooperation exchange took place. Numerous participants from Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Sweden and Poland appeared at this event. We presented our services and had also many interesting conversations with foreign institutions that provide R&B projects. We hope now for the fruitful cooperation. ![]() ![]()
