ASTEC has entered into Strategic Alliance Agreement with Solaris Systems, Inc. from Michigan, USA about delivering IT solutions for the US market, mostly using object-oriented technology C++, Smalltalk and GE Smallworld™ GIS.

Our online dictionary DICT got its Mobile DICT implementation for cell phones with Java (J2ME). ASTEC is planning to extend the Mobile DICT application with other interesting functions such as the playback of English words. Currently a DICT Memo module is in the works which will make learning English words easier.

A new version of the DICT Internet dictionary

The DICT Internet dictionary has been enriched by DEP, the German-English dictionary, and a list of irregular verbs. Furthermore the search algorithm has been improved.
