ASTEC participates in the 6th Framework Programme

ASTEC has signed an agreement with the European Commission about the realization of the integrated project Adaptive Services Grid (ASG), which is a 6th Framework Programme project (download the flyer). The goal of ASG is to develop a proof-of-concept prototype of an open development platform for adaptive services discovery, creation, composition and enactment, using the latest trends and Internet technologies such as Semantic Web, Web Services, Ontologies, Meta Object Facility et al.

4 million translations

DICT has reached the mark of 4 million translations. The number of DICT users is increasing every month. We would like to thank everybody for using DICT and the numerous individuals and institutions for extending the DICT word database with new words. We will also appreciate more cooperation and wish all of you a successful search!

Agreement with Polkomtel SA

ASTEC has entered a service agreement with Polkomtel SA, the biggest Polish mobile network operator. According to its conditions we made available two versions of our Polish-English on-line dictionary DICT for its clients: a mobile version for mobile phones with Java and a PDA version.
