ASTEC at Pipelinetage 2011Friday, 18 November 2011 On 9-10 November in Düsseldorf, Germany ASTEC participated at Pipelinetage 2011. We presented Gislet – an innovative solution enabling mobile access to the network infrastructure and supporting projects carried out in the field. Gislet is designed for users of the GE Smallworld™ technology and is the first solution dedicated to tablets and smartphones based on Android which can also work without access to the Internet. During the presentation "Mobile GIS for smartphones and tablets" we demonstrated how the functionality and application works both in on-line and off-line mode. Our speech met with great interest and was an opportunity to discuss the possible implementations and further development of mobile GIS solutions. Conference participants also had the opportunity to see Gislet working on HTC, Samsung and Motorola devices at our booth. The annual conference Pipelinetage organized by Geomagic GmbH is the place where users of Smallworld™ GIS meet and exchange experiences in the field of transport and distribution of gas and oil in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.    ASTEC at SAUC 2011Friday, 28 October 2011 This year's Smallworld™ Americas Users Conference took place on September 25-29 in Chicago, USA. At the conference ASTEC presented services based on the Smallworld™ technology and the newest MDT Professional Edition 3.0.1. Our presence at the annual meeting of the American GE Smallworld™ users has resulted in a commercial success. We acquired a new customer which purchased MDT licenses and we also have established a number of contacts with companies interested in our services and products. Scientific Logistics Conference organized by University of Logistics will take place on 13th May in Poznan. At the conference, which is a forum for ideas exchange and an opportunity to present new logistic solutions, we will present the RTLS system offered by ASTEC.
