Our accomplishments

2011

In March 2011 our GIS software product MDT becomes the leading most innovative IDE for Smallworld GIS development. Our solution is being used by over 20 companies from all over the world, including GE Energy, Bosch Car Multimedia and FirstEnergy Corp.

2009

In December 2009 we have been awarded with the Smallworld Physical Network Inventory certificate by GE Energy. This certificate is a recognition for our knowledge and experience in the field of PNI Smallworld. That is the result of a close collaboration with GE Energy and the certificate of authorization and recommendation of our services in Smallworld.

In March 2009 the largest private gas supplier of Poland, G.EN.Gaz Energia, received the "GET Fast Tracker Award 2009". This award stands for the quick and successful implementation of Smallworld Gas Distribution Office (GDO), which was done by GEOMAGIC GmbH together with ASTEC.

2007

In May 2007 we became an authorized GE Training Partner in the GE Energy Solution Partner Program. This allows us to offer professional GIS training services to our clients.

2006

In December 2006 we took another step forward as ASTEC became an authorized partner of GE Energy and we attained an authorized Solution Partner status in the GE Energy Solution Partner Program. The participation in this partner program provides ASTEC with new development possibilities in the field of the GE Smallworld GIS technology.

In July 2006 we published the official version of MDT, the first integrated development environment for Magik programmers. It was created basing on the Eclipse platform and offers features of modern IDEs, such as: team work, repository management, context hints, syntax highlighting and much more. The execution of Smallworld environment images is also possible.

2005

In 2005 ASTEC became a member of the Smallworld User Group (SWUG) — the Smallworld users organization. The membership in SWUG proves appreciation of our experience and competences in providing qualified GIS solutions based on GE Smallworld GIS technology. In 2005 ASTEC took part in the SWUG conference and the exhibition in Kiel/Germany, and in 2006 ASTEC took part in the next SWUG conference in Dresden/Germany. At the conference there was a world premiere of the latest ASTEC product — Magik Development Tools, a modern integrated environment for Smallworld GIS programmers.

2002

In 2002 we established cooperation with GE Network Solutions, a member of the General Electric corporation — the owner and the producer of the GE Smallworld GIS technology. In 2003 we signed the "Master Service Agreement" long-term framework agreement with GE Energy for providing services related to the realisation of IT projects involving the GE Smallworld GIS technology.

1998

In 1998 we carried out our first Smallworld technology based project in the field of GIS. We worked on the development of applications for network infrastructure management, modification of existing application and service of extensive system applications (support, bug-fixing and workaround services).
