KM.GISPublic traffic registration and planning
The KM.GIS application developed by ASTEC is based on the Smallworld technology and provides complex solutions supporting the operations of public transport services. This system enables the exact modelling of transport network objects, including their attributes and real location on the map. Both its architecture and the technology used allow undertaking different spatial-topological analyses. This is possible due to integrating in one system the elements including: resource description databases, topography (the geographic location of elements) and topology (mutual connections between objects in the network). The KM.GIS system may be seen as the central module of corporate IT system, which can be integrated with other subsystems, such as dispatcher module (e.g. telemetry, GPS), accounting module (investment planning, maintenance costs), and personnel module. ![]() The advantages of KM.GIS implementation
